U.S. FORECLOSURE ACTIVITY INCREASES 75 PERCENT IN 2007

January 31, 2008

Wow!!……………………With all of the negitive news in the forefront of national news today I had to ask myself where is the positive in all of this.  With the highest foreclosure rates in our nations history and the leading state for 2007 being Nevada with over 200% foreclosure filings over last year 2006.  I looked deeper into the facts of the foreclosure gloom and found New Mexico actually reporting positive news with an actual “Decline of Foreclosure Filings by 26%” over 2006.  Hummm…… New Mexico.  This interesting bright spot of national real estate news made me think about my home Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Having lived here since 1968 I’ve seen the national trends move up and down many times and with of a latent inpact the same trends arrived in New Mexico.

Today I’m working in the real estate industry and I couldn’t be happier living in New Mexico.  New Mexico is growing as in the past on a slow but steady incline but now with wonderful new industry and growth opportunity coming into the state that we haven’t seen in years past.  I look forward to the investment growth potential in the real estate sector in both residential and commercial areas.

These days it is difficult to find and hear of “The Good News” and I thought I would share some of the good news happening in New Mexico.

When thinking about Moving, Investing or Relocating Your Business, Consider New Mexico!!!!

Buying A Home in Today’s Real Estate Market

January 25, 2008

Have you considered purchasing a home lately but you hear how bad the market is from reading and watching the “National Media” outlets and you’ve decided to delay the decision?  Is the “Market” really that bad or is there more and we’re not hearing all sides of the big story.  My suggestion is to take a closer look in the area you are interested in purchasing and compare your results to some national statistics and I think you’ll be surprised.  If you’re considering an investment property, personal home or vacation retreat my understanding is that you can find good value if you do your homework before you listen to the “National Media” gloom and dooooom.  My thinking is real estate is always a good investment avenue over the long haul so don’t let the (viewer ratings minded) “Media” make the decision for you and your family.                     What are your thoughts?
